Seafood stuffed mushrooms are a sophisticated and delicious appetizer that adds a touch of luxury to any meal. Perfect for special occasions or dinner parties, these bites combine the earthy flavor of mushrooms with the rich taste of seafood, creating a delightful culinary experience.

Ingredients Needed

  • 12 large button or cremini mushrooms
  • 1/2 pound cooked crab meat or chopped shrimp
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems, setting the caps aside. Finely chop the stems and set aside.

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped mushroom stems and garlic, sautéing until tender. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked seafood, sautéed stems and garlic, cream cheese, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.

Stuff each mushroom cap with the seafood mixture, pressing gently to pack the filling. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden brown. Serve warm for the best flavor.

Serving Suggestions

These seafood stuffed mushrooms are perfect as an appetizer or a fancy side dish. Pair them with a crisp white wine or sparkling water with lemon for a complete luxurious experience. Garnish with additional parsley for a fresh touch.
